Armstrong Launches The New Music Choice


 Unified Audio and Video Consumer Experience Available Now to Armstrong EXP Customers with TiVo® set-top boxes.


January 18, 2017 (New York, NY) Music Choice, the #1 music provider on television, continues the roll out of the “New Music Choice” – a brand new, enhanced next-generation version of its popular music service today to Armstrong EXP customers throughout its service area.


The New Music Choice is a technological evolution of the patented streaming music service specifically designed for IPTV set-top-box television platforms that allows users to seamlessly navigate to related video content or any Music Choice On Demand offerings within a single interface. Armstrong EXP customers will now have access to commercial-free audio plus video streaming that contextually displays related Video On Demand (VOD) offerings. This marks the first time a programmer has offered this robust of an audio and video music content experience on the same platform; a huge win for the On Demand category and consumers seeking to enjoy and discover music.


Armstrong EXP customers with TiVo set-top boxes will have access to the New Music Choice via channel 699 and by going to TiVo Central® on the main menu and selecting Music & Photos. 


The New Music Choice offers consumers 75 commercial-free audio channels and 25 video channels with access to 20,000+ music videos and exclusive content directly from their television within one simple interface. Consumers will have access to two times the number of channels and 20 times the number of music videos they used to have on TV! Once within the guide, curated video content will load for easy viewing related to the artist currently playing. For example, when listening to Rihanna on Hit List, a consumer will see images of the videos that are available from her robust catalog as well as exclusive pieces from the Music Choice archives allowing the consumer to seamlessly move from a Rihanna audio experience into her music videos.
